Mugil curvidens

A small shoal (about 25 fish) feed from the low lying boulders in English Bay. They are 32-40cms long, brilliant silver when they turn their sides to the sun (otherwise pale grey), with a wide head, big eye, large mouth and a yellow spot behind the gill. The tail was rounded and slightly 'V'd with a darker line at the end. It feeds by moving its open mouth across the rocks sucking off vegetation.
