Known as "Yellow Boy" on Ascension Island, this is a shrub with bell-shaped yellow flowers, introduced about 1900, and now very common on the lower altitude lava regions, especially near Travellers Hill. Tecoma velutina is a larger bush with darker, longer leaves and is less common, being limited to Dampiers Ravine and near Two Boats. |
