Synodus synodus

Usually seen sitting motionless on sand or rocks, resting on its dorsal fins with pointed head up. It is vertically striped in either red and off-white or attractive blues and browns on a fawn background which merge with the surroundings. It is able to move at incredible speed, and when sitting on sand, give a couple of wriggles and completely disappear.
